Paul Murdy

Paul Murdy is a research engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, specializing in the Manufacturing and Characterization Team at the National Wind Technology Center since March 2019. Previously, Murdy served as a research assistant at Montana State University-Bozeman from August 2014 to December 2018, focusing on acoustic emission and guided ultrasonic waves for structural health monitoring of composite structures, along with mechanical testing and characterization of composite laminates. Additionally, Murdy worked as a teaching assistant, guiding mechanical engineering undergraduates in measurement and instrumentation labs. Paul Murdy holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman and a Master of Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
