John DeLisi

John W. DeLisi is a prominent figure in transportation safety, serving as Senior Advisor for Policy and Strategic Initiatives at the National Transportation Safety Board since July 1992. With a diverse range of leadership roles including Director of the Office of Aviation Safety and Acting Director of the Office of Marine Safety, DeLisi has overseen significant investigations and the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving transportation safety. Prior experience at McDonnell Douglas Co as a Flight Test Engineer involved high-risk flight tests and management of engineering teams. DeLisi holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and additional education from Washington University in St. Louis.
