Derick C.

Derick C. is a bioinformatician currently employed at NatureMetrics since December 2023. Prior to this role, Derick served as a postdoctoral research assistant at Imperial College London from January 2019 to December 2023, where work focused on the intersection of immunology and cardiology, specifically investigating macrophages in plaque stability. Responsibilities included developing laboratory SOPs for a novel enzyme-activated fluorescent probe and enhancing computational architecture for transcriptomics data analysis. Derick holds a Ph.D. from Imperial College London and a Master of Science in Genomic Medicine from St George's, University of London, where the thesis centered on optimizing a ChIP-Seq protocol. Educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of Exeter and an International Baccalaureate from the International School of Florence.
