Tessa Strickland is an experienced Geographic Information Systems professional with a background in environmental analysis. Currently serving as the Geographic Information Systems Coordinator at the Nature Conservancy of Canada since October 2017, Tessa has also held various roles within the organization, including Acting GIS Coordinator and GIS Assistant. Prior experience includes GIS Assistant at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and GIS Student at Kawartha Land Trust, where Tessa completed a GIS analysis to map environmental threats in the Kawartha Region. Tessa’s earlier work includes interpretive programming with Parks Canada and campus tours at the University of Guelph, complemented by a degree in Geographic Information Systems from Fleming College and a Bachelor of Arts and Science from the University of Guelph. Additionally, Tessa has leadership experience as a Canoe Trip Leader and Lifeguard with the Girl Guides of Canada.
