Wejdan Jarrah is a highly experienced professional in the field of humanitarian aid and social development, currently serving as the Regional Representative for MENA at NEAR since July 2021. With a robust background that includes roles such as the PSEAH Trainer at IOM - UN Migration and Safeguarding Global Delivery Manager at Social Development Direct, Wejdan has demonstrated expertise in protection and program management. Previous positions include Regional Representative for MENA at the United Mission for Relief and Development and Senior Member in the International Humanitarian Roster with the Church of Sweden. A Master's degree in Social Sciences from Al Yarmouk University complements Wejdan’s extensive experience, which includes key roles at organizations like CARE and The Lutheran World Federation.

Our Mission is to help bring about a world where local communities have the capacity, resources and agency to address the challenges that impact them. Our Vision is to work towards restructuring the global response to human, economic and environmental challenges so that actions to address these concerns are locally driven and owned, and promote equitable, dignified and accountable partnerships.
