Maarten Stikkelorum

Maarten Stikkelorum is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in both the public and private sectors. Currently serving as a member of the Management Board at NEN, the Netherlands Standardization Institute, since September 2022, Stikkelorum oversees standardization efforts in the Netherlands. Previously, Stikkelorum held the position of CFO at Hartstichting, an NGO focused on combating cardiovascular diseases, from April 2015 to August 2022. Stikkelorum also operated Maarten Stikkelorum Consultancy, providing business and investment advice, and has held CFO roles at Kobalt, the largest independent media agency in the Netherlands, and Brill Academic Publishers, an international academic publisher. Stikkelorum's career began in the Royal Netherlands Navy, where key roles included Deputy Head of Process Control and Accounting as well as Project Controller. Stikkelorum completed an MBA in Business Administration at the University of Rochester's Simon Business School and holds a drs degree in Political Science from VU Amsterdam.
