Barry Hughes is an experienced maritime professional with a diverse background in offshore operations and management. Currently serving as Offshore Installation Manager and Barge Master at New European Offshore since October 2021, Barry has previously held roles including Operations Supervisor and Marine Supervisor/Offshore Installation Manager at Altera Infrastructure, and Chief Officer/Marine Supervisor at Teekay Offshore Production. Earlier experience includes positions as Marine Controlroom Operator at Teekay Corporation and Captain at Maersk Supply Service, where responsibilities included managing AHTS vessels for Petrobras. Barry's career began at Maersk Line, Limited, progressing from 3rd Officer to Chief Officer. Barry holds an HND in Nautical Science from Glasgow College of Nautical Science.
