Mike Burns, CPA

Mike Burns, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Accounting at NEOGOV, leading accounting efforts in a company that specializes in on-demand human resources software for the public sector since January 2020. Previously, Mike held the position of Accounting Manager at Omni Rentals & Item Management, where responsibilities included managing finance and accounting activities for a Series B company and providing detailed financial analysis to the CEO. Mike's experience also includes a tenure as a Financial Assurance Senior at EY, focusing on risk identification and process improvement, as well as earlier roles as a Business Peer Mentor and Advisor at Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business. Mike began a professional journey in finance as a Financial Assurance Intern at EY. Mike holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
