Matt Oliva has had a varied work experience, beginning with their role as an Archives Assistant at the Jewish Museum of Maryland in 2012. Matt then moved on to the Palmer Museum of History and Art in 2014, where they worked as an Archives Assistant. In 2015, they began working at Apple as a Genius and Technical Specialist. Finally, in 2019, they joined Neon One as a Technical Support Team Lead and Technical Support Specialist.

Matt Oliva has obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where they studied Art History, Theory & Criticism and Photography. In 2013, they also attended Studio Arts College International to study Photography and Art History, Theory & Criticism. In 2017, Matt obtained Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) and Apple Certified Portable Technician (ACPT) certifications from Apple.
