Michal Zajac

Michal Zajac is an experienced researcher and leader in the field of cryptography, currently serving as the Head of Research and Head of Cryptography Research at Nethermind since February 2022, focusing on addressing blockchain challenges through advanced cryptographic solutions. Prior to this role, Michal was a cryptography researcher at Clearmatics and contributed to Horizon 2020 projects at the University of Tartu, particularly analyzing privacy threats in distributed ledgers and developing cryptographic tools for privacy-oriented blockchains. Michal began a career as a research assistant at the University of Warsaw, specializing in cryptography and data security, and has experience as a project leader in internet database security and as an analyst at Pretius. Academically, Michal Zajac holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Warsaw.
