Mark Masinter

Mark Masinter serves as Chairman of Global Retail, Newmark Retail Services. Masinter joined Newmark from Open Realty Advisors, an esteemed global retail commercial real estate advisory firm acquired by Newmark in 2022. As Chairman of Global Retail, Masinter oversees strategic planning and business development for Newmark’s North American and International retail real estate business line.

Prior to joining Newmark, Masinter served as Managing Member and Founder of Open Realty Advisors, establishing the firm in 1987. Under Masinter’s leadership, Open Realty Advisors consulted and led the store growth and real estate execution strategies of some of North America’s premier consumer brands representing thousands of lease transactions.

As Managing Member of Open Realty Partners, Masinter led the firm’s principal investment and development endeavors which has resulted in the successful execution of some of the premier retail and mixed-use properties in the US. In this role, Masinter’s primary focus was on design, curation, leasing and capital raising.

Masinter graduated from Avon Old Farms School and received a Bachelor of Political Science degree from Southern Methodist University.
