Lorna Shaw

Lorna Shaw is an experienced professional in government and external relations, currently serving as the Director of Government Relations at Newmont Corporation since October 2017, after holding the position of External Relations Manager. Prior to this role, Lorna served as External Affairs Manager at Sumitomo Metal Mining Pogo LLC from April 2012 to October 2017 and held various managerial positions in community and government relations at Kinross Gold Corporation from February 2001 to April 2012. Lorna also has experience as Executive Director of the Council of Alaska Producers and as a Legislative Aide for the Ak State Legislature, working with Senators and Representatives from 1995 to 2001. Additionally, Lorna was Assistant to the Chief of Staff in the office of Senator Frank H. Murkowski in 1998. Lorna holds both an MBA and a BBA from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
