Ray Stevens

Ray Stevens is a Senior Counsel at both Maynard Nexsen PC and Nexsen Pruet, LLC, specializing in State and Local Tax (SALT) issues related to controversies, litigation, incentives, and planning. Previously, Stevens served as the Administrator of Appeals at the South Carolina Department of Revenue and held the position of Partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP. Additional experience includes serving as Director at the South Carolina Department of Revenue and Judge at the South Carolina Administrative Law Court. Stevens holds a Master of Laws and Taxation from William & Mary Law School and an MBA in Business and Accounting from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.
