Kara Calhoun

Kara Calhoun currently serves as the Vice President of CMC & Process Development at NGM Biopharmaceuticals, a position held since October 2020. Prior to this role, Kara spent 14 years at Genentech, advancing through various leadership positions including Director and Head of iLabs, where significant contributions were made to manufacturing technology strategies and innovation. Kara's earlier experience includes key roles at Merck, focusing on bioprocess research and development for live-virus vaccines. Kara holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.
