Simone Castellani has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and leadership roles. Starting in 2005, they worked at Avio Aero as a Technical Lead, then as a Project Engineer, and later as a Project Engineer/Manager for Avio Beijing Co., Ltd. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a Program Manager & Engineering Program Leader at GE AVIATION CZECH S.R.O. They then returned to Avio Aero in 2016 as a Section Engineering Manager until 2019. Currently, Simone holds the position of Executive Vice President Engineering at Nikon SLM Solutions, starting in 2020. They are set to become the Chief Technology Officer in July 2023.
Simone Castellani obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the Università di Pisa, completing their education from 1999 to 2005.
