Svein Arne Nordby

Svein Arne Nordby has extensive experience in the acoustics industry, currently serving as the BoD Chairman for both Norsonic AB and Norsonic AS since 2012 and 1982, respectively. Norsonic AS is a Norwegian company that specializes in the development and worldwide marketing of sound, noise, and vibration measurement instruments, while Norsonic AB focuses on sales within the Swedish market. Nordby has also held various leadership roles at Scantek, Inc. since 1991, where Svein Arne is the BoD Chairman, managing Norsonic and Rion sales in North America. Notably, from 2003 to 2022, Nordby was the President of AcousticONE AS, driving business development and new markets for Norsonic. Additional leadership experience includes serving as President of the Norwegian Acoustical Society from 2006 to 2009 and as a board member at Innovasjon Norge from 2004 to 2006. Nordby's educational background includes an M.Sc. in Electronics, Computer Engineering, and Acoustics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
