Alana V. Allen

Alana V. Allen is a seasoned professional in strategic marketing and communications, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University since May 2017. In this role, Alana develops and implements comprehensive strategies for various offices and affiliated entities while leveraging digital platforms to highlight collaborations with diverse partners. As the Founder and Executive Director of I Am A Queen, a nonprofit established in 2009, Alana empowers young women through leadership programs and community service initiatives. Additionally, Alana provides consultancy and grant writing services through Alana Knows Nonprofits, guiding organizations in compliance and funding opportunities. Previous experiences include public relations roles at Kidde, Huami Magazine, and the North Carolina Office of the Governor, all underpinned by a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communications from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
