Matthew Songer M.D.

Matthew Songer MD, MBA, currently serves as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Aspirus Iron River Hospital since April 2017 and as an Adjunct Professor at Northern Michigan University's School of Business since September 2011. From January 2010 to December 2017, Matthew founded and led Frontier Medical Devices, Inc. as President and Chairman of the Board, providing comprehensive outsourcing solutions for medical device research, development, and manufacturing. Prior experience includes serving as a Partner and Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at Orthopedic Surgical Associates of Marquette from January 1989 to August 2016 and as the founder, CEO, and Chairman of Pioneer Surgical Technology until its sale to RTI in January 2008. Matthew's educational background includes studies at Kellogg.
