Frank Tu

Frank Tu is an accomplished Clinical Professor at the University of Chicago, where responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and undergraduate students, as well as conducting original research on visceral pain disorders. Tu serves as Principal Investigator for the NICHD-funded EMPATHY study, which investigates adolescent menstrual pain trajectories, and has directed multiple studies on pelvic floor pain and bladder pain mechanisms. In addition to academic roles, Tu holds the position of Vice Chair in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NorthShore University HealthSystem, overseeing quality initiatives, and is the Division Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, providing advanced clinical care for various female health issues. Educational background includes degrees in Medicine (MD), Epidemiology (MPH), and Psychology (BA), as well as a fellowship in advanced gynecological surgery and pelvic pain.
