Basti Bergdahl, PhD, is a seasoned researcher and senior research scientist currently employed at Novonesis since January 2024. With previous experience at Chr. Hansen from January 2016 to January 2024 as a data science community core team member and senior research scientist, Basti contributed to the development of an applied statistics program and played a key role in implementing a new LIMS software. Prior roles include post-doctoral researcher at The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability, where research focused on yeast strains' responses to stress, and a researcher at Lund University, which involved developing efficient production strategies for dicarboxylic acids. Basti completed a Ph.D. in applied microbiology and holds a Master of Science in biotechnology from Lund University.
