Dean Murphy is an investigative journalist and currently the Associate Editor of the Investigative Cluster at The New York Times. Dean has over two decades of experience in the field, having served as the Deputy Business Editor and, before that, the Deputy National Editor at The New York Times, as well as the Johannesburg Bureau Chief and Acting Bonn Bureau Chief at the Los Angeles Times.
Dean Murphy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from The Johns Hopkins University.
