Olena Marchenko

Olena Marchenko is a highly skilled bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in various roles within healthcare and research institutions. Currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at NYU Langone Health since April 2025, Olena has previously held positions such as Principal Scientist at Aiomics and Senior Bioinformatics Scientist R&D at Zephyr AI. With a strong research background at Simons Foundation, Olena contributed significantly as both a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer and a Bioinformatics Engineer. Olena's expertise encompasses whole genome and exome analysis, single-cell sequencing, and immuno-oncology profiling, supported by proficiency in programming languages and tools including MATLAB, Python, and AWS. Olena earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Cell Analysis and Modeling from The University of Connecticut Health Center, further complemented by a background in computational biology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Biology from Colby College.
