Oak National Academy
Mel McGhee is an accomplished education professional with diverse experience in teaching and arts support roles. Currently serving as a School Support Officer at Oak National Academy since December 2022, Mel previously worked as an Associate Artist at the National Centre for Writing from 2022 to 2023. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at Jane Austen College, where Mel taught English across KS3, KS4, and A Level while also holding the position of Head of Year 7 and mentoring trainee teachers. Additionally, Mel contributed to marketing and development efforts at Theatre Royal (Norwich) Trust Ltd. from 2014 to 2017, focusing on fundraising and community arts education, and held a communications role at Colman's Mustard Shop and Museum from 2012 to 2014. Mel holds Qualified Teacher Status from Norfolk Teacher Training Centre and a degree in Literature and History of Art from the University of East Anglia.
