Derek Willis serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Pure Lithium Corporation since April 2024 and is the Vice President of Commercial Development at Occidental, focusing on innovation and the commercialization of technologies aligned with Oxy's energy transition strategy. Previously, Derek held several significant roles at Oxy, including Vice President of Legal for U.S. Onshore Resources and Carbon Management and Vice President Legal for Oxy Low Carbon Ventures. At Volusion, LLC, from October 2012 to March 2019, Derek managed corporate development, strategic partnerships, and global legal affairs as General Counsel. Derek's extensive legal experience includes a tenure as a Partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, focusing on capital markets and mergers and acquisitions, as well as early career roles in corporate securities at Gardere Wynne Sewell and PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Derek holds a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.
