Alexander Clemons has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alexander began their career as a Research Assistant at DePaul University College of Law, where they conducted research on the criminalization of immigration law. Alexander then worked as a Teaching Assistant at the same institution, assisting with teaching and grading legal analysis courses.
In 2008, Clemons joined Jeffrey M. Goldberg Law Offices as a Law Clerk. During their tenure, they handled research and drafting for significant cases, including one that successfully overturned a statute limiting non-economic damages. Alexander also conducted extensive legal research, drafted various legal documents, and worked on medical malpractice cases resulting in multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements.
Clemons then transitioned to Dodd & Maatuka LLC, where they worked as an Attorney from 2011 to 2013.
Since 2013, Clemons has been associated with Ocean Tomo. Alexander started as an Analyst and worked their way up to Associate, Director, and Senior Director before assuming their current position as Managing Director since January 2022.
Alexander Clemons earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, Clemons attended DePaul University College of Law from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Alexander then pursued a Master of Business Administration in Finance at the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2010 to 2012.
