Zack Stoecker-Sylvia has worked in the software engineering field since 1999. Zack began their career as a Web Developer at Lizard Database & Web, Inc. in 1999. In 2004, they moved to BAE Systems as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2010, they joined Oceanit as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and developed research software for Department of Defense contracts. Zack also acted as software lead for a multimillion dollar gunshot detection program, used machine learning techniques for biometric identification and burn analysis, developed infrastructure protection software, and wrote proposals for new research.

Zack Stoecker-Sylvia received a B.S. in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2002, followed by an M.S. in Computer Science from the same institution in 2004.
