Kara Givens

Kara Givens has extensive experience in environmental compliance and emissions monitoring, currently serving as a Community Outreach Coordinator at OGE Energy Corp. since April 2015. In this role, Kara has also held positions as Sr. CEMS Coordinator and CEMS Coordinator, focusing on the administration and analysis of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) data, ensuring compliance with state and federal air quality regulations. Previously, Kara worked as a CEMS Testing Specialist, commissioning Mercury CEMS in line with the MATS federal rule and training in stack testing methods. Earlier experience includes serving as an EPS IV and an EPS at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. Kara earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Central Oklahoma between 2002 and 2006.
