Mario joined Ogilvy Health in October 2024 as Global Chief Executive Officer, where he oversees all aspects of Ogilvy’s Health business which spans Brand Strategy, Advertising, Public Relations and Influence, Experience and Innovation, Medical Education.
With over 25 years of Oncology experience and nearly 20 years of advertising and marketing expertise, Mario has been a part of many of healthcare’s advancements and milestones. Across Consumer, HCP, Patient, and Payer audiences, Mario has supported some of the industry’s biggest and most impactful brands. Mario has a history of successfully leading multidisciplinary teams that span audiences and functions and has supported over 30 new product/indication launches.
Prior to joining Ogilvy Health, Mario held various leadership positions at Avalere Health and Omnicom Health Group. His 25+ year passion for Oncology started in grad school at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, where Mario studied molecular mechanisms of drug resistance in non-small cell lung cancer. When he’s not working his day job, Mario is passionate about giving back to communities; he’s currently the Board Chair of Dream Foundation—a national dream-granting organization for terminally ill adults—and a member of Queen’s University’s Grad Club Board of Directors.
