Jim Hart is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer at Omatic since April 2013, Jim leverages AI, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and other advanced technologies to drive innovative solutions and provides technical leadership for complex, multi-year projects. Previously, as Director of Engineering, Jim oversaw an engineering group that tripled in size over three years, managing multiple teams and resources. Jim's career also includes valuable contributions at Blackbaud as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on custom software solutions for various products, and roles at NovaStar Financial and Abacus Communications, where significant development work was done on financial and call center applications. Jim Hart holds a strong educational background from Virginia Tech and Kecoughtan High School.
