James Thompson

James Thompson is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in various strategic roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Global Director of Communications at OMERS since February 2021, James has previously held significant positions at McKinsey & Company, including Head of Communications for Europe and the Global Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Virgin Media and Bupa, where James managed communications for the business division and global corporate communications, respectively. Earlier in James's career, roles included consultancy at Lexington Communications and political placements within the US Congress, Canadian Parliament, and the UK Conservative Party. James holds a degree in Politics and Parliamentary Studies from the University of Leeds.
