Adult Education Teacher Transitions at Agence Ometz

Barbara Dunnigan has over 25 years of experience in the field of education and mental health support. At the English Montreal School Board since 1996, Barbara serves as an Adult Education Teacher for the Transitions to Work course, focusing on emotional and practical communication skills for individuals re-entering the workforce. As a Coordinator for the Supported Independent Living Project, Barbara supervises care for 21 individuals with severe mental health conditions, facilitating group activities and meals. Previous experience includes working as a Case Manager, where responsibilities included client screening, supportive counseling, and behavior management. Prior to this, Barbara worked at Miriam Home as an Educator, designing training programs and providing advocacy. Educational background includes a degree in Special Care Counseling from Vanier College and studies at John Abbott College.
