Shane Dexter

Shane Dexter is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in managing large teams and budgets across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Omnicell since 2019, Shane oversees four teams comprising over 45 engineers at sites in the U.S. and internationally, focusing on systems engineering, human factors, and design quality, with an operating budget of $8 million. Prior to Omnicell, Shane held key roles at Medtronic from 2007 to 2019, including Director of Research and Development, leading a team of over 75 professionals in new product development for surgical power instruments supporting a significant business segment. Shane's career also includes experience as Director of Engineering at Black & Decker, where management of a residential equipment engineering group was a priority. Shane holds a Master of Business Administration from Union University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
