Open Doors
Richard Valladares currently serves as a Fellow at the Litigation Counsel of America and as a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2024. Valladares is an appointed representative on the Georgia State Board of Education for the 6th District, a role granted by Governor Brian Kemp. Additionally, Valladares provides pro bono legal counsel to both the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Open Doors, organizations focused on business development and supporting those experiencing homelessness, respectively. Valladares is a member of the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission and the Law360 Georgia Editorial Advisory Board. Richard Valladares has held the position of Administrative Shareholder/Chair of Business Litigation at Greenberg Traurig, LLP since January 2005, and previously worked as an Associate at McCarter & English, LLP from 2001 to 2005. Education was completed at Rutgers University and Seton Hall University School of Law.

Open Doors
Open Doors’ mission is to ensure that homes will always be available for those exiting homelessness. We strive to be the catalyst for a system change in how Atlanta approaches homelessness. Open Doors is the bridge connecting property owners and management companies to the direct service non-profits providing case management. Over the past seven years Open Doors has connected over 7,500 individuals, families, and veterans to affordable, long-term housing by lowering barriers to finding and securing rental units.
