Peter Hancock has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Peter started their career as an Assistant Manager at GREENALLS PUBS AND RESTAURANTS LIMITED in 1997. Peter then worked as a Bank Clerk at HSBC from 2000 to 2001. Following that, Peter joined Northgate Information Solutions as a Software Developer, where they gained expertise in Visual Basic .NET Framework, classic ASP, and web development. Peter stayed with Northgate Information Solutions for over a decade, leaving in 2012.
In 2014, Peter worked as a Contract Developer at Great Places Housing Group and built web applications using various technologies. Peter also mentored staff during this time.
Peter joined Open ECX in 2015 as a Contract Developer and was responsible for architecting and developing a market-leading web product. Peter then moved to The Access Group in 2012 as a Development Manager, where they managed a team of seven developers and introduced agile and scrum methodologies.
In 2018, Peter became a Development Manager at Degree 53, overseeing three teams - inhouse Games and Core software, as well as the offshore CMS team. Peter managed a highly regulated high-volume enterprise platform.
Currently, Peter serves as the Head of Development at Open ECX, where they are building a new team of developers and leading the development of a new ecommerce trading hub. Their responsibilities include building various engines and gateways to support the business needs.
Peter Hancock obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Salford. Peter attended the university from 1995 to 2000.
