Mark Chen serves as the Chief Research Officer at OpenAI since October 2018, where additional roles include SVP of Research and Head of Frontiers Research. Prior to OpenAI, Mark worked as a Partner in Quantitative Research at Integral Technology LLC from July 2016 to August 2018 and held a position in Quantitative Research at Tech Square Trading between August 2012 and January 2016. Mark began a career in finance with an internship at Jane Street in early 2012 and gained experience as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University in the summer of 2011. Mark earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in May 2012 and attended National Experimental High School from August 2004 to May 2008.
