Senior User Research Consultant at Opencast

Kat Husbands is a Senior User Research Consultant at Opencast since February 2024, with extensive experience in user research and community engagement. Currently, Kat co-hosts UX Glasgow, organizing monthly meetups for the UX community since August 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a User Researcher at Trapeze Group Europe/UK, focusing on public transport accessibility, and a UX Researcher at OVO, where Kat evaluated online product prototypes. At the Scottish Government, Kat served as Senior User Researcher, leading usability projects and upskilling teams across the public sector. Earlier, Kat contributed to the University of Glasgow as a UX Content Specialist and held various positions, including Project Administrator for The National Youth Orchestras of Scotland. Kat holds an HND in Modern Musicianship from Jewel & Esk Valley College.
