Costume Cutter Draper at Opera Philadelphia

Kara Morasco has extensive experience in costume design and education, currently serving as a costume cutter draper for Opera Philadelphia since October 2006. Additionally, Kara has worked as a freelance costume cutter, draper, and tailor for film and performing arts since July 1990. In the realm of art education, Kara has held various teaching positions at homeless shelters, including roles as an Art Teacher and Ceramics Instructor, focusing on the benefits of art for children and youth in emergency housing situations. Moreover, Kara has contributed to community education through ceramics classes for both adults and children at the North Light Community Center. Academically, Kara holds a Master of Arts in Art Education with an emphasis in Special Populations from Moore College of Art and Design and a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
