Thien-An Nguyen

Thien-An Nguyen is the Chief Technology Officer at ORCA Computing since January 2024, previously serving as SVP of Design and Director of Photonics at GenXComm from January 2018 to December 2023. With a robust background in technology development, R&D, and product management, Thien-An has led multi-million dollar programs and partnered with executive teams across various business functions. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Active Nano-Devices, where work focused on smart fiber technology and phononic metamaterials, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching electrical engineering fundamentals. Thien-An holds both a PhD and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
