Benson Chong

Benson Chong is a Computational Biologist at Oregon Health & Science University since August 2022, with prior experience as a Data Science Intern at Omics Data Automation, where an optimization algorithm was developed to enhance predictive classification of prostate cancer gene expression data. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Oregon Health & Science University, significant contributions were made in analyzing single-cell transcriptomic data related to undifferentiated stem cells. Additional experience includes roles as a Lab Technician/Project Integrator at Penn State University, a Chemical Engineer at Analytical Flavor Systems, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Bai Lab, supplemented by a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Oregon Health & Science University and Penn State University, respectively.
