Peter Jaksons has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and statistics. Peter currently holds the position of Head of Data Intelligence at Orion NZ Ltd since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at AcumenBI from March 2021 to October 2022. From 2014 to 2021, Peter was involved in various roles at The New Zealand Institute for Plant & Food Research Ltd, including Team leader Data Science Applications, Data Scientist, and Project Leader. Peter also worked as a Guest Lecturer in Applied Statistics at the University of Canterbury from April 2018 to 2020. Before that, Peter had a freelance data science consulting business from 2011 to 2015. Peter'searly career included positions as a Statistical Consultant and Research statistician at KU Leuven from 2009 to 2011.

Peter Jacksons has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistics from the University of Canterbury. Peter also holds a Master's degree in Statistics from KU Leuven. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Antwerp, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from UHasselt. In addition, Peter has obtained certifications in DataRobot for Data Scientists, MLOps I, and MLOps Starter from DataRobot, Inc.
