James Macfarlane possesses extensive experience in traffic and transit management within public sector roles. Currently serving as the Coordinator for Traffic Management Events with the City of Ottawa's Public Works Department since January 2021, Macfarlane previously held the position of Traffic & Transit Coordinator within the Transit Services Department. Prior to this, a tenure at Beacon Lite Ltd from May 2017 to January 2021 included roles as Supervisor of Field Operations and Technician for the Confederation Line Extension of the Ottawa LRT Stage 2 project. Additionally, experience at the Municipality of North Grenville and the City of Ottawa involved contributions to arenas and surface operations, respectively. Macfarlane holds a Bachelor's degree in Public and Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, earned between 2013 and 2017.
