Jose Gonzalez

Jose Gonzalez, Ed.D., serves as Faculty and Director of Experiential Education at The Overlake School, providing strategic direction for programs such as Service Learning and Outdoor Education. With extensive experience in leadership development, risk management, and experiential education, Jose has held roles including Teaching Faculty at NOLS, Senior Partner at Brimstone Consulting Group, Director of Recreation Programs at Plymouth State University, and a manager at the Sierra Club. Jose co-founded Aire Libre Internacional, focusing on outdoor education in Puerto Rico, and has taught at various institutions, including California State University, Northridge, and Prescott College. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master’s in Outdoor Pursuits Recreation Administration, and a Bachelor’s in Biology.
