András Sajó

Andras Sajo, former Judge and Vice-President of the European Court of Human Rights, a University Professor and Founding Dean of Legal Studies at Central European University, and member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He served as legal advisor to Hungary’s first independently elected President and published extensively in the field of comparative constitutional law. He also participated as an advisor in the drafting of the constitutions of Ukraine, Georgia and South Africa (provisionally). Sajo is a regular visiting professor at ELTE Budapest, U. Chicago, Cardozo, NYU, and has taught courses at Harvard, Columbia, U. New South Wales, and other law schools. His most recently published book is ‘The Constitution of Freedom’ (Oxford University Press, 2017).
