Prashant Venkatesh

Prashant Venkatesh is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in leading product security teams and managing vulnerability programs. Currently serving as a Product Security Leader at a confidential organization since October 2021, Prashant oversees a team responsible for the bug bounty program and the integration of SAST into CI/CD pipelines. Prashant has also been an organizer for the Seasides conference since March 2019 and is the Chapter Lead for the OWASP Foundation's Bay Area chapter. Previous roles include a Staff Security Engineer at Kohl's, where notable achievements included a 60% reduction in actively exploitable vulnerabilities and the initiation of a bug bounty program, as well as experience in security engineering at Microsoft and Gap Inc. Prashant began a career in application security at Infosys and KPMG, contributing significantly to application security practices and strategies. Prashant holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from LNCT Bhopal.
