Jose Luis Mendez-Andino

Jose Luis Mendez-Andino is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in research and development, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Research & Development Officer at Owens Corning since April 2012. Mendez-Andino’s career at Owens Corning has included roles such as Vice President of R&D for Insulation and Roofing, and Senior R&D Leader for Residential Insulation. Prior experience includes significant positions at Procter & Gamble, where Mendez-Andino led new product development for Bounty Paper Towels and was involved in consumer health innovations. Mendez-Andino’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from The Ohio State University, a Post-Doctorate in Natural Product Synthesis from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.S. in Applied Anthropology from the University of North Texas, alongside a B.S. in Industrial Chemistry from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
