Rachel Von Borstel has extensive work experience in the education industry. Rachel currently works as an Inclusion Officer Post 16 at Wrexham County Borough Council. Prior to this, they worked at OCR as the Chief Moderator ITQ where they managed teams, produced reports, and developed qualifications. Rachel also worked at Coleg Cambria as an ALN Specialist Lecturer, where they assessed learners, provided support, and delivered training sessions. Additionally, Rachel worked at Coleg Llandrillo as a Lecturer and Program Leader in Computing, and at Bromborough Intec as a Lecturer.

Rachel Von Borstel has a diverse education history. Rachel obtained a postgraduate degree in Mental Health from the University of Chester in 2020-2021. Prior to that, they completed a master's degree in Dyslexia research and practice at the same university from 2016 to 2020. Rachel also holds a master's degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Chester, acquired from 1997 to 2001. Furthermore, Rachel obtained a PGCE in Education from The Manchester Metropolitan University in 1994 after completing a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and Services from the University of Leicester from 1990 to 1994. Lastly, they attended St Richard Gwyn RC High School Flint from 1983 to 1990. Additionally, Rachel has a certification in Leadership & Management from ILM, which was obtained in 2022.
