Paola Florez de Sessions

Paola Florez de Sessions currently serves as the Associate Director of Field Applications - Technical Services for Latin America at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, a position held since March 2019. Previously, Paola Florez de Sessions was involved with the Genome Institute of Singapore from November 2011 to July 2024, where roles included Associate Director and Platform Leader for the GERMS platform, which focuses on genomics solutions related to microbes and human health. Additionally, experience as a Project Leader involved collaboration on next-generation sequencing projects, notably with Danone. Paola Florez de Sessions began a career in research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Novartis from October 2009 to November 2011, following the attainment of a Ph.D. in Virology from Duke University, completed in 2006.
