Chad Painter

Chad Painter serves as a Senior Technical Advisor at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since June 2018, focusing on the development and qualification of production fuel manufacturing for advanced low enriched uranium fuel. Previously, during a tenure at the International Atomic Energy Agency from September 2013 to August 2016, Chad Painter served as a Senior Nuclear Engineer, managing educational simulator projects for nuclear technology and supporting small modular reactor deployment. Chad Painter's earlier experience includes over two decades at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in various roles, including Program Manager and Nuclear Engineer, and a military career as a Nuclear Trained Submarine Officer with the US Navy. Chad Painter holds a Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
