Shari E. Redstone is a media executive with wide-ranging experience in numerous aspects of the entertainment industry and related ventures. She is Non-Executive Chair of ViacomCBS’ Board of Directors, having previously served as Vice Chair of the Boards of Viacom Inc. and CBS Corporation prior to the combination of the companies in 2019.
Ms. Redstone is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Advancit Capital, an investment firm launched in 2011 that focuses on early stage companies at the intersection of media, entertainment and technology. Since 2000, she has been President of National Amusements, a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry.
Ms. Redstone earned a BS from Tufts University, and a JD and a Masters in Tax Law from Boston University. She practiced corporate law, estate planning and criminal law in the Boston area before joining National Amusements. Ms. Redstone serves on the Board of Trustees at the Paley Center for Media and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
