Chelsea Difebbo Ortiz

Chelsea DiFebbo Ortiz has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, primarily in the field of patient advocacy. Chelsea started their career in 2009 at ViroPharma Incorporated, where they worked in corporate communications until 2014. Chelsea then joined Shire Pharmaceuticals as a Manager of Patient Advocacy, a role they held until 2015. In 2015, they joined BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., where they held various roles, including Senior Manager and Associate Director of Global Patient Advocacy and Engagement, Senior Manager of Patient Advocacy, and Development Sciences Patient Advocacy Research Portfolio Head. Chelsea worked at BioMarin until 2021. Currently, they are employed at Passage Bio as the Senior Director of Patient Advocacy, and they will be starting a new role as the Executive Director of Patient Advocacy in July 2023.
